PUTTING ON THE ARMOR

We are all battling daily temptations. Before we even begin preparing to face the physical world, we need to be ready to fight in the spiritual realm. Until we put on the armor of God, we’re not ready to walk out the door. Ephesians 6:10-20 gives us clear direction on how to fight the enemy and develop and demonstrate effective Christian living.

1 JOHN: THE TEST OF FAITH

The Bible tells us that we can be sure of our salvation. 1 John helps believers to have assurance. By analyzing the evidence presented, believers can be sure of their faith. Believers are also equipped to help others validate the authenticity of their faith.

CHASE THE GOOSE

The Christian experience isn’t supposed to be boring, but for too many Christ-followers, it is. They’ve been “domesticated” and are trudging through the day-to-day lives with no thrills, no excitement, and certainly no adventure. The Celtic Christian’s name for the Holy Spirit was “an Geadh-Glas”, or “the Wild Goose.” In Chase the Goose, participants are implored to live in step with the Holy-Spirit, a life that is mysterious, unpredictable, and adventuresome. This study is designed for young adults age 18-28, but is open to all ages.

God is always working to mold you into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. He wants you to transition from a drab, colorless existence to a new way of life characterized by vibrancy, purpose, and spiritual power – the kid of life that is possible only for someone who walks in ever-deepening intimacy with Him.

Spiritual disciplines are tools God uses to shape you into the image of Christ. Soul Shaping will introduce you to small acts of faith and devotion you can build into the normal routine of your life.
